Effective: 21 October 2026
You can request cancellation by email. The amount refundable depends on work actually supplied and applicable consumer rights, not simply on whether a project is described as custom work.
01 · How to request cancellation
Email contact@designoslab.com with your name, quotation or order reference and the part you wish to cancel. We record the time received and promptly confirm the work status and next steps. A reason helps us resolve issues but is not required where law permits cancellation without a reason. If payment has not been made, no refund process is needed.
02 · Before chargeable work starts
If you cancel before chargeable work begins, we refund the amount paid for that work in full. The free one-page sample and initial quotation are not retrospectively charged. We do not deduct an unspecified administration or cancellation fee.
03 · After work has started
For a cancellation after commencement, we stop avoidable further work and provide an itemised account of the completed scope and any legally recoverable, previously agreed costs. Refund = amount paid for the cancelled scope minus the value of that scope already supplied, where deduction is permitted by law. Valuation uses the agreed stages, units or other pricing basis; it is not an arbitrary percentage. Unstarted separable work remains refundable. Mandatory cancellation rights take priority over this calculation.
04 · Non-delivery and work that differs from the order
If we cannot perform an agreed part of the service, we refund the amount paid for the part not supplied. If delivered work does not meet the agreed scope, contact us with the affected references so we can provide an appropriate correction, re-performance, price reduction or refund according to the circumstances and applicable law. We do not require you to accept repeated corrections instead of a statutory remedy. New preferences or added requirements are distinguished from a failure to meet the original agreement.
05 · Statutory consumer withdrawal rights
Where Korean electronic-commerce consumer law applies, withdrawal is generally available within seven days of receiving the contract information, or from the later supply or commencement date as prescribed by law. Statutory extensions also apply. A restriction for commenced services or digital content applies only when the legal conditions and required advance notices are satisfied; unstarted separable parts remain subject to withdrawal. A custom-order restriction likewise requires the separate notice and agreement required by law. If supply differs from the description or contract, the statutory periods are three months from supply and 30 days from knowing or being able to know of the discrepancy. These terms do not shorten any applicable mandatory period.
06 · Refund method and timing
We use the original payment method where possible and promptly request cancellation from the payment provider. Where statutory withdrawal applies to a service or digital content, we make the refund within three business days of the withdrawal as required by applicable law. Other refunds are processed without undue delay after the refundable amount is established. Bank or card posting may take additional time; we provide confirmation of the refund request. A dispute over one part does not justify withholding an undisputed refund. We do not automatically deduct PG fees from a refund that must be made in full.
07 · Currency and mandatory protections
Refunds are based on the amount and currency originally paid for the refunded scope. A bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate when posting a foreign-currency refund. Any charge that law requires MechaLogics to bear remains our responsibility. Contact contact@designoslab.com if a refund is delayed. Applicable mandatory consumer rights prevail over conflicting wording in a quotation or this policy.
